Is Stampie free to use?
Yes, the core of the app is free. You can sign up, collect base stamps that you'd usually get in your passport (with some additional ones as well), build your profile, and track your travels. Pro is an optional upgrade that unlocks additional stamp collections, regional maps, and more, and also backs the project so it can sustain itself long term.
Why isn't the app fully free, and why is there a Pro version?
We're a small, fully bootstrapped team with no outside investors, and being able to maintain and improve the app is possible thanks to our Pro members backing the project. It goes straight back into building and maintaining it. See the Pro page for what's included.
How do you create the stamps?
Our stamps are designed with AI-assisted tools, reviewed and edited one by one by our team. Every stamp is pre-made and shared across all users, and nothing is generated from your personal data. You can read more in our Terms.
What does Stampie Pro include?
Pro unlocks extra stamp collections, unlimited photos per stamp, passport & map customization, and a Pro badge on your profile. Go Pro with a monthly ($6.99) or yearly ($29.99) plan, or a one-time $59.99 lifetime purchase. See the Pro page for the full list.
Is Pro a subscription?
You choose. Pro comes as a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase that's yours forever. Subscriptions renew automatically, and you can cancel anytime, so you keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for.
What does my Pro support, and how is the price decided?
Stampie isn't just a data tracker, it's a living catalog: every stamp is curated and edited one by one by our team, with new collections and features shipping regularly. Going Pro funds that ongoing work, the app servers and maintenance, and the development behind new stamps, maps, and features shaped by your feedback. The plans are priced to stay sustainable and fair next to other travel apps: monthly or yearly to support it as we go, or lifetime to back it once.
Can I get a refund if I'm not satisfied with Pro?
Yes, within 14 days. How it works depends on where you bought it.

Bought on the web: email us at info@stampie.app within 14days of purchase and we'll refund you, no questions asked.

Bought in the iPhone or Android app:the payment goes to Apple or Google first, not to us, so we have no way to refund it ourselves directly. You'll need to ask them: reportaproblem.apple.com for Apple, or the order in your Google Play account for Android. The decision is theirs, and they usually look at requests made within 90 days.

Within 14days we won't stand in the way, no questions asked, and if the store checks with us we'll tell them we're happy for it to go through. Email us either way and we'll help however we can.
Why is the price different in my currency or in the app?
Prices on our website are in US dollars and are the base price. In the App Store and Google Play, the price is shown in your local currency and can differ from the US dollar price: the stores set their own regional prices and apply currency conversion and any local taxes. You always see the exact amount before you confirm a purchase.
Why has the Pro price changed over time?
While Stampie was in beta, we ran early-adopter pricing: the price started low and went up in steps as more people joined, our way of thanking the people who supported the app earliest, before it was fully stable. Now that Stampie is out of beta, that run has ended, and the price you see today is our final, settled price. It won't keep going up like it did during beta, and keeping it settled is fair to everyone who bought in early.
Can I request a stamp that doesn't exist yet?
Absolutely. If a country, city, or event is missing, open the Stamps page and use the “Request a stamp” link, or email us directly at info@stampie.app. Every request goes into a pool, nothing is dropped, but please note we can't always add every stamp right away, some take longer or aren't possible due to trademarks and copyrights, or current priorities.
How do you decide which requested stamps get added?
Every request goes into a pool, nothing is dropped. From there we look at a few things: how many people have asked for it (places requested by many users jump the queue), whether it fits an existing collection or needs a new one, and whether we can use it at all. That last one is the usual reason something takes longer: trademarked places like theme parks and some branded attractions need research, or are not possible because of copyright.

Requests that have not landed yet are not rejected. They are either waiting behind higher-demand items or were not possible to settle in a quick evaluation. We are a small team, so some take a while.
Can I use Stampie stamps outside the app?
Stamps are for personal enjoyment within Stampie and products we offer (like printable posters from our shop). Redistribution or commercial use outside Stampie isn't permitted. See our Terms for details.
Is my data private?
You control your profile visibility. If you set your profile to public, others can see your profile and stamp entries; if you set it to private, your entries are visible only to you. You can change this anytime in your settings.

Stamps themselves aren't generated from your personal data, they're a shared catalog used by everyone. We never sell your personal data. We're a small, fully bootstrapped team, and the app's upkeep and development is funded by our Pro members backing the project. For full details see our Privacy policy.
