Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 14, 2026

Stampie is developed and operated by NoeCrafts OÜ, an Estonian company. Your privacy is important to us. This policy describes what data we collect when you use Stampie, including with a user account, and how we use and protect it.

1. Data We Collect

Account data. When you create an account (e.g. by signing in with Google), we receive and store identifiers necessary to run the service: such as your email address and profile picture from the provider, and the username you choose on Stampie. We also store profile information you provide (e.g. display name, bio, location, profile visibility) and how you found us.

Travel stamps and entries. When you use an account, your travel stamps, entries, and related data (e.g. visit dates, notes) are stored on our servers so you can access them across devices and, if you set your profile to public, so others can view your travel profile.

Photos. If you add photos to a stamp entry, the image files are stored in our object storage on Cloudflare R2 and served from our content delivery network. Each photo is resized and re-encoded on our servers before storage, and any embedded camera metadata (EXIF, including location data on the original file if present) is removed at that step so it never reaches storage. Photo URLs follow the same visibility rules as the entry they belong to: if the entry is on a public profile, the photo URL is publicly reachable; if the entry is on a private profile, the URL is only returned to you. Deleting a photo or its entry removes the file from our storage.

Your responsibility for what you upload.By uploading a photo to Stampie you confirm that you own the photo (or have permission to share it), that it does not infringe anyone else's rights, and that it does not contain content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or otherwise prohibited by our Terms of Service. If your entry is on a public profile, anyone with the photo URL may view, screenshot, save, or redistribute the image — a URL once shared is effectively public, and we cannot recall it.

No storage system is 100% secure — public or private. We apply reasonable, industry-standard safeguards (access controls, encryption in transit, restricted access to private content) but we cannot guarantee that any photo — whether on a public or a private profile — will never be exposed. Software vulnerabilities, security incidents at us or at our infrastructure providers, law-enforcement orders, or your own account being compromised could result in private content becoming accessible to others. Treat anything you upload to Stampie — public or private — as if it could one day be seen by someone other than you, and do not upload material that would cause you, or anyone else, significant harm if it were ever exposed. We are not a backup service: keep your own copy of anything you would regret losing.

Moderation and enforcement. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to remove any photo or entry that we believe violates these terms or our content policies — with or without prior notice. Repeat or serious violations (illegal content, content that endangers another person, copyright complaints, attempts to abuse the service, etc.) may also result in feature limits, suspension, or permanent removal of the account that uploaded the content. Where required by law we will respond to valid takedown requests and law-enforcement orders.

Usage and technical data. We may collect anonymous or pseudonymous data such as page views, device type, and general usage patterns to improve the service and fix issues. Our servers also log requests (e.g. IP address, time) for security and operation.

If you use Stampie without an account (e.g. a mobile app in offline or local-only mode), your data may stay on your device or in your personal cloud (e.g. iCloud) and we do not store it on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to provide and improve Stampie: to operate your account, store and display your profile and stamps, enforce your privacy settings (e.g. public vs. private profile), and to communicate with you about the service where necessary. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Sign-In Providers

When you sign in with a third party (e.g. Google), that provider's privacy policy applies to the data they share with us. We use the information they provide only to create and maintain your Stampie account and to provide the service.

4. Cookies and Sessions

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. Session data is used only to authenticate you and to run the service securely.

5. Analytics

We use the following tools to understand how Stampie is used and to measure the effectiveness of our marketing. Where possible we use data that cannot identify you personally.

  • PostHog — product analytics (hosted in the EU).
  • Google Analytics — traffic analytics.
  • Meta Pixel — measures the effectiveness of our ads. We do not send Meta your email, phone, or name, and the pixel does not fire on user profile pages.

6. In-App Purchases

Pro features may be unlocked via in-app purchase (e.g. Apple's system). Payment and billing are handled by the platform; we do not receive or store your full payment card details.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You can update or delete profile information and control profile visibility in the app. You can stop using your account or request account deletion by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (e.g. access, correction, deletion, portability) under applicable data protection laws.

8. Data Security and Retention

We take reasonable measures to protect your data. We retain account and stamp data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service and comply with law. After account deletion, we remove or anonymize your data in line with our retention practices.
