Frequently asked questions

How does the guess the flag game work?
We show you a national flag and four country names. Tap the country you think the flag belongs to. You get instant feedback, and after 10 or 20 flags you see your score and how it compares to your personal best.
How many flags are in the quiz?
You can play a quick round of 10 flags or a longer 20-flag round. By default the quiz draws from the 195 UN-recognized countries; flip the switch off to include every flag in the Stampie catalog.
Is the flag quiz free?
Yes, completely free and there is no signup. Everything runs in your browser. A free Stampie account is separate and lets you collect passport-style stamps for the countries you have actually visited.
Can I share my flag quiz score?
Yes. When the round ends, copy your share link or post the auto-generated card. The link reopens showing your score so friends can try to beat it.
What are the hardest flags to guess?
Most people mix up the look-alikes: Chad and Romania, Indonesia and Monaco, Ireland and Ivory Coast, Netherlands and Luxembourg, or the cluster of Nordic cross flags. The pan-African and pan-Arab colour schemes trip people up too.
